Man Confesses to Starting Fatal 7-Alarm Blaze

A man confessed Monday to starting a massive fire that killed two people and displaced hundreds more at the Harvey’s Racquet Club apartments near Love Field this month, authorities said. Percy Ernest Hill, 21, was arrested Monday on suspicion of capital murder. He was being held at the Lew Sterrett Justice Center and could not be reached for comment. Read More »

Fire investigators said a careless mistake led to a three-alarm fire in Dallas that forced dozens of people from their homes early Monday morning, including one woman who had to toss her infant from a second-floor window. Residents claim to have heard explosions shortly before 1 a.m. and then reported seeing flames inside an apartment at the Brittany Park community on the 14000 block of Dallas Parkway near Spring Valley Road.
