Goodbye 2007, you kinda sucked…..
I am very glad that 2007 is coming to an end. Even though that puts me one year closer to death, 2007 was enough of a doozy year to make me at least curiously wonder if death might not be less harsh. Each of us will have a few years in there that aren’t so great. Sometimes there are years that we did things to ourselves, sometimes ‘they’ did things to us, sometimes we just continuously find ourselves in the wrong place at the wrong time. For me, 2007 was chock full of all of that and then some. The year started out just plain crappy, then went to a really bland place, and then ended on a frenzied high that has left me tired but optimistic.

With all the Staph running rampant in Central Texas, it was really only a matter of time before the site got infected. It is widely known that the message board never washes it’s hands. Anytime you have a website that is driven by a database, you will get database errors. I guess it is kinda impossible to get database errors with no database huh ? Makes sense…

I tried to make it exactly one month between posts; turns out I can’t even be lazy right. Oh Well.
The Texas-Fire site has received a ‘back-end’ switcheroo of sorts in preparation for a new design and layout (which is still a long way off). I finished up the first part today and it is up and live.

Garbage Disposal, 975, Big Flickr Bling
My garbage disposal blew up. It made that hanging ‘fixin to burst into flame’ noise. Being a new home owner, I tried to fix it myself. In searching out some diagnostic assistance on the web, I came across eHow.com. It is one of those sites you can get lost in. Any site that has paint ball tactics and dishwasher repair in the same place is nifty by me !
