One Killed in Waco House Fire

A man died early Wednesday morning when his Waco home went up in flames. Firefighters were called to the 1400 block of Springdale just after 2:30 a.m. Wednesday where they found a house ablaze. As firefighters gained control of the fire they discovered a man’s body inside the residence.

The man’s identity had not been released Wednesday morning.

The inside of the home and the rear portion suffered the heaviest damage. A neighbor reported the fire. A Waco fire marshal was called to the scene to investigate where and how the fire started.
