A family was displaced from their central Longview home Monday after an electrical fire.
Longview firefighters were dispatched to the 600 block of North Fredonia Street at 1:50 p.m. Monday in connection with a residential structure fire.

Fire Marshal Johnny Zackary said three people were in the home when the fire started, but no one was injured. Zackary said a fuse had blown, and about 15 minutes after the resident replaced the fuse, a fire ignited.

He said the house received about $5,000 worth of damage, but the residents left because the electricity in the home had to be cut off.
