Abilene Firefighter Injured in House Fire

An Abilene firefighter is in the hospital after fighting an early morning fire. It happened around 2 AM Monday at a home in the 300 block of Kensington Lane.

The homeowner says he heard noises coming from the garage. When he investigated he found a fire in the heater closet in the garage.

The firefighter suffered from heat exhaustion and smoke inhalation.
