By Ben Lawson at KCBD News, Lubbock Lubbock fire crews doused a grass fire near 40th and Avenue U Wednesday evening. The flames started in a dry playa lake in Clapp Park. The cause of this fire has not yet been released. Fire investigators say there have been several fires in that area recently.
