Family displaced after mobile home fire near Gatesville

By Louis Ojeda Jr. at KXXV News, Waco
A family is displaced after their mobile home near Gatesville was damaged by a fire early Monday morning. Firefighters responded around 1 a.m. to Fowler Street, off Highway 36, where flames were visible from a mobile home.

One man was reportedly home on a computer at the time and evacuated when he saw flames outside a window. The fire has reportedly left a family of four displaced.

The cause is unknown at this time, however, firefighters say it started around the front porch of the mobile home where an extension cord was running to an air conditioner.
