Houston Grocery Store Fire : ABC13
A neighborhood grocery store in northwest Houston is in now ruins after flames gutted the 5,000 square foot building late last night. When firefighters got to the scene off West Montgomery, they found flames shooting in the air. They originally thought the building was a church, but they soon learned that it was a grocery store.

There were concerns that people may have been inside, but the store was closed when the fire started.
“Nobody was in the building at the time they arrived. We have no indications that anybody was inside,” said Houston Fire Department PIO Patrick Trahan.
Investigators don’t know what sparked the fire. They are talking to the owner and people in the area to try and figure out what happened.
