Firefighters say a space heater sparked a house fire on the Southwest Side Tuesday afternoon. Fire crews were called to a home in the 5500 block of S. Zarzamora Street around 3:30 p.m.

According to investigators, a space heater caught some curtains on fire. The fire then quickly spread through the home. The home was a total loss. No injuries were reported.
