Plumes of smoke rise from small brush fire in East Austin

The Austin Fire Department said a small brush fire near a shed containing tires has caused plumes of heavy black smoke to rise near 1011 Springdale Road. The East Austin brush fire was mostly contained as of 5 p.m. Monday, according to AFD officials.

No other information was available early Monday evening.
