A home was destroyed after a fire early Tuesday morning. Firefighters were called to 4016 Cox Oaks Valley Drive, which is just north of Waco, around midnight. Two adults and two children, inside when the house caught on fire, managed to escape with no injuries.

Ammunition was going off inside the burning home. There were no fire hydrants near the house, so firefighters were forced to drive and re-fill their tanker truck several times while battling the blaze.

The Red Cross was on scene to help the family.

Four fire departments assisted in putting out the blaze: Chalk Bluff, Gholson, Lacy-Lakeview, and Elm Mott. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
