From WFAA News in Dallas
Firefighters found a dead man in a burning Dallas apartment Tuesday morning. The one-alarm fire at the Newcastle Apartments in the 4500 block of San Jacinto Street was tapped out quickly after it was reported around 10:40 a.m.

An apartment manager had kicked down the door and used a fire extinguisher before firefighters arrived in an attempt to put out the flames.

The first firefighters to enter discovered a lifeless body on the floor of the smoky apartment.

Fire investigators found a number of space heaters in the apartment, including a propane-fueled unit. However, they said all the switches were in the “off” position and the valve to the propane tank was completely closed.
