A fire completely destroyed a vacant house early Saturday morning in North Lubbock.
Lubbock firefighters spent more than an hour extinguishing the blaze at the approximately 500-square-foot house just after midnight in the 1200 block of N. Avenue N, said Robert Loveless with the Lubbock Fire Marshal’s Office.

The fire also burned about three acres of grass and brush surrounding the house. The Fire Marshal’s Office had not determined the cause of the blaze and planned to continue investigating.
