Inez man killed in farm accident

A 66-year-old man was crushed by a piece of farm equipment in the backyard of his home Thursday. An auger fell on Billy Frank Buzek shortly after 11 a.m. When firefighters got to his home in the 6200 block of Farm-to-Market Road 1686, Buzek was already dead.

Justice of the Peace Robert Whitaker held an inquest and did not order an autopsy.

Firefighters were able to free Buzek at 12:25 p.m., according to the fire department records.
