Firefighters Respond To B&B Box Company

Firefighters from the Dixie and Lindale fire departments are on scene at the B&B Box Co., Inc., at 13917 County Road 46 in Smith County, where smoke is visible from the roof of the structure.

The company makes wood pallets and the containers that line gravesites into which coffins are lowered, among other products, according to employees interviewed at the scene. Eight people are currently employed at the company, they said, adding that the roof was replaced in July of this year.

No injuries are reported, and the fire appears to be under control, according to a Tyler Paper reporter on the scene.
