Firefighters called to fire at Northeast nightclub

Fire marshals concluded a fire at a nightclub in Northeast El Paso was intentionally set. It caused an estimated $80,000 damage. The fire occurred about 12:20 a.m. at the Chit Chat Lounge, 4808 Dyer. First responding firefighters reported heavy smoke and flames coming from the roof.

Twelve fire trucks were called. The fire was brought under control just before 1:09 a.m. No one was injured.
