Firefighters Honored for Saving Life

Midland Firefighters today were honored at the Midland City Council meeting. Five firefighters and the fire chief were recognized for saving a woman’s life in a mobile home fire in south Midland this past April. They received an award from Bullard, who manufactured the thermal camera they used to save the person’s life.

Fire Chief Russ Conley says he and his crew appreciate being honored as a team.

The Midland Fire Department has several thermal cameras in regular use with which allows them to see through thick smoke in homes, helping them rescue victims.
