Amarillo firefighters quickly extinguished a house fire in the 3900 block of South Tyler Street. The blaze broke out in the rear of the single-story home about 10:30 p.m. Saturday. Fire officials said the cause is under investigation by the fire marshal’s office.

The 20 firefighters called to the scene had the fire under control in about eight minutes.
No one was injured, and firefighters don’t believe anyone was in the home when the fire started.

Fire officials did not immediately know how much damage the fire caused.
