Travis County fire crews were called out to a home on Green Pastures, northeast of the airport, around 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon. When firefighters arrived, a rear portion of the house was on fire. They managed to knock the fire down, despite some water issues.

“Well we have a little bit of a challenge out here with some water, some long hose lays, but we were able to keep an effective water supply to the fire,” Capt. Von Beals, with Travis County Fire Control, said. “We shuttled water back and forth from some local hydrants.”

No one was home when the fire broke out. The cause is not yet known. An official said the home is pretty much a total loss.
