Water Rescue in LubbockHail seemed to have the largest impact on the South Plains Thursday evening, literally. Some drivers sought protection underneath overpasses along East Loop 289.

Hail collected on roadways, creating slick spots. It caused two cars to spin out along U.S. Highway 62/82 east of Idalou. One vehicle ended up off the highway in a flooded ditch.
