Fire chars Little Arkansas

A wildfire broke out late Saturday afternoon just north and west of San Marcos on property known as Little Arkansas. Investigators are looking into reports that a welders torch being used to erect fencing in the area sparked the blaze. Approximately five uninhabited acres burned, officials said.
