Dallas Firefighter Injured

A Dallas firefighter was taken to the hospital this morning after a driver crashed into a fire-truck blocking an accident scene in North Dallas. Police and firefighters were working on a crash on LBJ Freeway near Marsh Lane where a Dallas fire-truck was positioned to divert traffic around debris from the accident.

Suddenly, a car came speeding up and smashed into the fire-truck, forcing police to close down the west-bound lanes of LBJ for several hours. A firefighter sitting in the fire-truck received minor injuries and was taken to Medical City of Dallas for a check-up. The driver was also slightly hurt and taken to Parkland. He’ll be charged with drunk driving.
