Teenager Torches West Side Home

A teenager tells Bexar County Sheriff’s Deputies he was trying to prove his love for his girlfriend when he set a house on fire.
The fire was started Tuesday in the Shaenfield Place neighborhood on the Far West Side.
The home was completely gutted by the fire.

Teens Rescue Kids From Apartment Fire

A 17-year-old girl helped rescue four younger children from a blazing apartment fire in Carrollton, according to the fire chief there. Two younger teens in the apartment, ages 14 and 15, broke out windows and helped a toddler and a pre-schooler to safety.

Man found dead after morning North Austin fire

A man officials believe to be about 35 years old was found dead inside a duplex after a fire at 8305 Warbler Court in North Austin this morning, according to Austin/Travis County Emergency Medical Services spokesman Warren Hassinger.
