Candle to blame for another house fire

Video from KHOU, Houston Reported by KHOU, Houston Houston firefighters say a candle is to blame for a house fire in northeast Houston. The fire department says an unattended candle apparently caught something on fire in the master bedroom and it spread to the attic. The family was not home at the time.

Bastrop County firefighters take out 150-acre brush fire

Reported by News 8 Austin Bastrop firefighters brought every available brush fire truck in the county to put out a wildfire Saturday. The fire broke out about nine miles northeast of Bastrop State Park. The fire quickly grew after someone burned trash in their yard, igniting a trailer home and charring about 150 acres.

Waco firefighters OK after encountering chlorine gas

Cedar Park firefighting team qualifies for world competition

The five-person crew qualified last weekend by running an obstacle course in less than 6 minutes during a competition in Tyler.

4-Alarm Fire Destroys Dallas Apartment Building Near State Fair

Reported by KDFW, Dallas Photos of fire from KDFW, Dallas, Fort Worth An apartment complex near the grounds of the State Fair of Texas was destroyed by fire early Friday morning. The fire started around 3:30 a.m. at the vacant complex in the 2600 block of Grand Avenue.
