Church Fire in El Paso County

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and Horizon City fire investigators are trying to figure out what caused a church fire this morning. Firefighters tell us smoke was seen coming from the Horizon Bible Church just before midnight. Crews responded and were able to extinguish the flames, but not before nearly $100,000 in damage was caused to the building. More than twenty firefighters were called to the scene, including some from Socorro. There were no reports of any injuries and still no word on what caused the blaze.
