Reported by KCBD, Lubbock
A fire in south Lubbock County left a family homeless Saturday night. Flames broke out around 4 p.m. near 138th Street and Slide Road. Fire crews battled the blaze for about an hour. No one was inside the home at the time of the fire, but the family returned home while crews were still fighting the flames. They were devastated and didn’t know what could have caused the fire.

Investigators were still trying to determine what sparked the fire Saturday evening.
